On June 28 and 29, Raul A. Fleman, Artic CTO and member of the Fiber Broadband Association Operations committee (FBA) Latam Chapter, was part of the agenda of the 27th edition of Regional Telecommunications Meeting (EncRegTel) which was held in the city of Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina.

Fleman was one of the speakers of the Academic Agenda in two instances: As a member of the Operations Committee of the Fiber Broadband Association Latam Chapter, he gave a seminar on the Evolution of Optical Trunk Networks and FTTH, focusing on the differences between a deployment of aerial and underground optical networks; the advantages and applications of microducts and microcables, the concept and impact of neutral networks, and a definition and technical characterization of the pre-connectorized systems for sub-trunk networks and FTTH, outdoor and indoor.

As CTO of Artic, he made a presentation that delved into “Total Connectivity with ARTIC Fiber Optic”. There he addressed the current challenges for the laying of optical networks, the classification and applications of standard and special optical cables, pre-connectorized systems – balanced and unbalanced networks, and how to deploy a pre-terminated system underground.
